As a co-chair of the 2013 Interior Design Society community project, Dwell With Dignity, I along with my fellow co-chair helped orchestrate and oversee the renovation of an apartment dwelling for a precious family in need. Together we led a team of IDS design members in the complete renovation of an apartment. I am proud to say that this IDS DFW 2013 charity project was recently awarded “National Outstanding Charity Event” for 2013, by IDS National. In 2010 I participated with a group of women from the Interior Design Society in the renovation of Jonathan’s Place, a wonderful organization with a mission to help young children. A project that captured our hearts: “The mission of Jonathan’s Place is to provide a safe, loving home and specialized services to children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.” For more information on this wonderful organization and how you can help please see their website here: http://www.jpkids.org
